As the daughter of a master plumber, Kira was born and raised in the trade. After graduating from high school in 2021, she decided to work full-time in the family business at Continental Plumbing Services in New Port Richey, Florida. She now works alongside her father Chad, mother Amy, and the remaining Continental team.

Her first position was as an Office Assistant where she was able to assist every department. Currently, she is in the Dispatcher role, which she says is always busy and challenging. She shares that his role has helped her learn more about the operations of the company and grow her love for the trade. Her favorite part of her position is talking with older clients and helping to get them scheduled, as well as the fast pace that the role of dispatching always has.

Kira hopes that working in the dispatcher role will help elevate her to a management position so she can develop more responsibilities in the business. Kira said, “I love what I do every day and I also love being able to learn and collaborate with my parents since they are supportive and very happy that I have entered into the trade.”

Kira said she hopes more young people will get into the trade by working in the office and out in the field, and benefiting from education and networking opportunities. Kira has attended PHCCCONNECT and the QSC Power Meetings on a regular basis, and speaks highly of the value she got from both of the experiences She also attended the PHCC Rising Leaders Summit last year at PHCCCONNECT2022 and plans to attend the Summit again Oct. 26 at PHCCCONNECT2023 in Cleveland.

In her free time, Kira enjoys online shopping, collecting vinyl records, travel, and spending time with her friends.
