Congratulations to our new PHCC Rising Leader, Christopher Tryjankowski, who has a long-standing 20-year history in the plumbing and HVAC industry in Buffalo, New York. Christopher is the co-owner of PCS Plumbing and Heating, which he helped grow from two owners and two helpers to more than 80 employees. Christopher let us know that most of the original employees are still with his company today! He and his team perform commercial and residential plumbing & HVAC services for the construction, renovation, services and excavation markets in the Buffalo region.

Christopher also is a superb storyteller who loves to share how he got started in the industry. When he was about 11 or 12 years old and his father was remodeling their bathroom, Christopher could see upfront how “cool” it was to solder copper and glue PVC pipes and fittings. He was hooked from the start! He attended McKinley Vocational High School in Buffalo, which is only one of a few high schools in the U.S. to offer plumbing training. This education, combined with his interest in plumbing, eventually led to his being in the p-h-c business.

In addition to Christopher’s business ventures, he also is a dedicated advocate against proposed fossil fuel bans in construction, an issue which has reached a controversial level in his home state. Christopher sat on a Buffalo Business First panel to discuss the impact gas bans will have on the p-h-c industry and has also appeared on a WGRZ television segment; additionally, he was also a featured guest on WBEN Talk Radio. Since he’s been so visible in this fight, he receives calls from media inquiring about his opinion and he also receives calls from elected officials thanking him for his support on this issue.
