During this crucial session led by an OSHA representative, you’ll learn about the most impactful compliance assistance outreach events that OSHA has every fiscal year, encouraging employers, workers, and stakeholders to participate and share safety and health information at their jobsites. Come and get the latest enforcement updates and requirements as well as other available resources. The safety and health of your workers and customers depends on it!

- Raising awareness of all of the 2022 OSHA’s campaigns and how employers, workers, unions, and associations can participate and access information and training resources.
- Provide an update on enforcement requirements on: falls, heat, trenching, and excavations, ladders, walking & working surfaces, silica, and COVID-19.
- Share additional available resources.
Presenter
Mrs. Elizabeth Morales has been the Compliance Assistance Specialist in the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) in Kansas City, Missouri for the last four years. She started working for OSHA-Region VII in June of 2002. Since then Mrs. Morales has worked in different positions, such as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer (Industrial Hygienist); Voluntary Protection Recertification Manager, and as an Industrial Safety and Health Supervisor. All of these previous opportunities within OSHA have helped Morales to develop her passion, which is to develop strong relationships with employers, workers, stakeholders, and organizations at the local, regional, national level. Mrs. Morales enjoys to provide information to small, medium and large sized employers regarding how to promote best practices in the workplace. She has worked extensively to assist employers to develop “Safe and Sound” management systems during her entire carrier. She firmly believes that OSHA’s mission of saving lives is 100% attainable. Actually, Morales is an active member of the Region VII- Suicide Prevention Task Force, National Fall Prevention Rask Force Team, and the National Heat Illness Prevention Task Force. These Task Force groups were created to increase the awareness on Suicide in Construction, Fall Prevention, and Heat Illness Prevention in construction and in general industry. This year, Mrs. Morales have participated in different Hispanic radio virtual “live shows” to keep sharing information on how to control and eliminate safety hazards in the workplace. Also, Mrs. Morales is the OSHA Officer of the Greater Kansas City Field Federal Safety and Health Council, where she provides training, technical guidance and information to more than 20,000 federal workers within the Kansas City Metro Area. As a result of her leadership, in 2018 and 2019, this council received for the last two consecutive years the “Superior Performance Award from the Secretary of Labor”.
