The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) has announced the start of the revision cycle for the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and the Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC). The technical committees for both codes will meet virtually this year; these meetings are open to the public. The UPC technical committee virtual meeting is scheduled for May 3-7; register here. The UMC technical committee virtual meeting is scheduled for May 17-21, register here. All meetings are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. PDT and end at noon each day, Monday-Friday. Registrations to the UPC and UMC Technical Committee meetings are open to anyone; you are invited to become a part of the code revision process.
The PHCC-National Association, formed in 1883, provides legislative advocacy, education and training to approximately 3,300 plumbing and HVACR businesses and 65,000 technicians.
