What is Working and What Isn’t + What Do You Need from Us?
Here at the Foundation, most of our core programs can continue even with COVID keeping us working from home.

What’s Working – Important educational work continues.
Scholarships – Our Scholarship Committee is reviewing over 120 applications to see who will be awarded $112,000 in scholarships later this month.
Pre-Apprentice Training –  330+ people have taken advantage of our online Pre-Apprentice Course since we cut the registration price to zero in March.
Online Apprenticeship Training – Student enrollments have surged, bringing needed workers into our industry. Several PHCC chapters are getting set up with our online apprentice training as classroom instruction in their schools remains a challenge.
Fast Track to Service Plumbing – This new online training program for service techs is in beta testing and final development now, and will be available in October.

New Offerings – Created to help you navigate the COVID crisis.
Survive & Thrive – A series of 10 live weekly discussions focused on protecting your business and finding new opportunities. No cost, recordings available here.
Software Tools Page – A set of new and updated software tools to help you identify costs, lost productivity and revenue impacts related to COVID. All at no cost, available here.
COVID Readiness Training – Online employee training about COVID. No cost, available on the PHCC Recovery Center page.

What’s Not Working (For Now) – In-person events are still a no-go.
SkillsUSA National Championships – This event for high school and post-secondary students had to be cancelled, but will return in 2021.
National Plumbing & HVAC Apprentice Contests – These competitions held at PHCC CONNECT had to be cancelled when the convention shifted to an online event. However, we will still celebrate the best of PHCC’s apprentices at CONNECT.
In-Person Management Classes – Our project management class in March had to be postponed and may need to return as an online offering later this year. Help us plan our online options by answering this quick survey about online classes – Take the Survey.

We will keep delivering our online programs and restart in person events when it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, what do you need from us? What educational resources would help you work through what’s happening now in your business? Drop us a message at foundation@naphcc.org and let us know.
