Optional Tour – Coachella Valley Water District

This entertaining and informative tour, led by Kevin Hempe, Education Specialist for the Coachella Valley Water District, will figuratively and literally cover a lot of ground. Attendees will visit:

• One of the area’s municipal well sites
• The Coachella Valley’s largest, above ground, steel tank reservoir (12 million gallons)
• Lake Cahuilla (pronounced “Kah-wee-uh”)
• A Groundwater Replenishment Facility
• A Wastewater Reclamation Plant

Attendees are required to submit a waiver before going on the tour, CCA staff will coordinate these details . CVWA strongly requests NO wearing of flips or open-toed shoes. Closed-Toed Shoes ONLY.
