National Standard Plumbing Code
As of June 1, 2017, the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials® (IAPMO) and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) executed an agreement transferring ownership of the National Standard Plumbing Code™ (NSPC) to IAPMO. The transfer encompasses all editions of the NSPC, including the 2018 edition.
Published every three years, The National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC) is designed to ensure the proper installation of plumbing systems. The NSPC provides local and state governments, code administrative bodies, and industry with a modern code to protect public health and safety.
PHCC is actively involved with industry groups dedicated to energy and water issues. Discover how we’re representing you, and voice your own support or concerns of proposed programs.
Proposed Federal Regulatory Standards
PHCC applies its real-life technical expertise to the assessment of proposed federal regulatory standards, providing input on any practical impact the regulations could have on the actual installation of a product, as well as any possibly negative effect on public health and safety.
