Working in Washington on Your Behalf
|As a plumbing-heating-cooling professional, your daily focus is on getting the work done and running a profitable business. If you’re like most contractors, that’s enough to keep you busy, with little time to think about the many legislative and regulatory issues that affect you and your livelihood. But relax — that’s why PHCC exists.
PHCC-National Association’s Government Relations Department provides a voice for the p-h-c industry in Washington, D.C., and empowers members to participate in effective local grassroots activism. Our work includes highly effective representation on the federal, state and local levels.

Tell Your Member of the House to Support Reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Act
May 23, 2017
The House Education and the Workforce Committee recently approved PHCC-supported H.R. 2353, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Act). As you may recall, the legislation passed the House last year but was not considered by the Senate.
Among other improvements, the bill includes an increase in funding for career and technical education of $15 million. For the last several years, the bill has been funded at $1.2 billion.
As House leadership considers placing the bill on the legislative calendar for floor consideration, please contact your member of Congress to urge for their support.
