Association Awards and Contests

Colonel George D. Scott Award

This meritorious award is created for the purpose of giving formal recognition to members who have shown outstanding service to the National association, affiliated state and local associations and to the plumbing-heating-cooling industry. Emphasis in selecting nominees should be given to sustained service for any ten-year period which demonstrates the individuals multiplicity of specific deeds rather than a single outstanding deed.

All applications for the Colonel Scott Award should be submitted by the local and/or state association with background information justifying the candidate's qualifications to be a recipient of the award. Please note that it was stipulated by the Executive Committee in June 1977 that this award need not necessarily be an annual award nor presented at each annual meeting, but would be presented only when a candidate met the outstanding service requirements as set forth in the guidelines. The award will be presented at the PHCC convention. PHCC HVAC Contractor of the Year

The award recognizes excellence in the HVACR Industry. This award is presented to the HVACR contractor who best represents the ideals of the profession. Nominees are judged on professionalism, merchandising and management skills, innovative techniques, trade involvement and community service. PHCC HVAC Contractor of the Year Application  Deadline: July 15. 

Legislative Service Award

This award is presented to a contractor or an executive manager, who demonstrates exceptional skills in the legislative and regulatory arena. The winner receives a commemorative gift and a certificate.  Deadline: August 1.

The PHCC "Apprentice of the Year" (Sponsored by Delta)

Candidates for this award should be outstanding plumbing apprentices who are enrolled in a training program they plan to continue. Apprentice of the Year Application   Deadline: July 15. 

The PHCC "Plumbing Contractor of the Year" (Sponsored by Delta)

This prestigious award is recognized as a symbol of excellence throughout the plumbing industry. This award is presented to the plumbing contractor who best represents the ideals of the profession. Nominees are judged on professionalism, merchandising and management skills, innovative plumbing techniques, trade involvement and community service. The award is presented at the PHCC-National Association Convention. Plumbing Contractor of the Year Application   Deadline: July 15.
